Granola

This yummy granola doesn't last long because you can't stop at one bowl! I love waking up in the morning and being excited about breakfast :)

Classic Granola

6 c. oats

1 c. chopped almonds

1 c a mix of macadamia nuts/ brazil nuts/ hazelnuts

1/2 c. sunflower seeds

2 tbsp. sesame seeds

1/4 c. canola oil

1/2 c. honey or agave syrup

2 tsp. vanila

pinch salt

1 c. dried fruit of your choice: chopped apricots, cranberries, raisins, currants, figs, dates. (I found chopped apricots, shredded coconut and cranberries to be a lovely combination

Preheat oven 165°. On a baking tray, spread out the dry ingredients. Mix oil, honey/agave, and vanilla in a bowl and pour over dry ingredients. With your hands, mix the dry and wet until evenly coated. Put in oven, uncovered for about 40 minutes (or until the oats are nice and golden). Stir every 10 minutes. Pour granola off baking tray and into a clean, dry pan or bowl to cool. Mix in dried fruit of choice. Store in an air-tight container.
